DISC GOLF - Take the lift to the course on the mountain. Players cover a nine-hole course
trying
to make the fewest number of throws with discs of varying weights and sizes. Much like
the way a set of
golf clubs is used, one of the four discs is selected for each "shot," depending
on the distance and wind.
Recommended for groups of up to four.

WILDLIFE WATCHING/Birding - Pondicherry Wildlife Refuge - A Birder’s Paradise One
of the top birding
locations in the Northeast, with 234 bird species. Water birds and unusual mammals abound! Access is
from a trailhead on Airport Road in Whitefield, the start of a 1.5-mile hike to Cherry Pond on the
Pondicherry Rail Trail. Just north, a mile-long loop trail to Little Cherry Pond includes 600 feet
of boardwalk over a bog.

FIRETOWERS - Milan Hill 1737' (State) Milan: From Rte. 110 B west of Milan, the Milan
Hill State Park road goes south to a parking area very near the base of the tower.
Mt. Prospect 2059' (State) Lancaster: Tower is in Weeks state Park east of Rte. 3 between Lancaster and Whitefield. The auto road to the summit is gated when the park is closed, but it is an easy 1.5
mile walk.
FROST PLACE -
Poet Robert Frost and his family owned a farm in Franconia 1915-1920 and returned for
many summers until 1938. This was where Frost went from anonymity to national acclaim, wrote “The Road Less
Traveled”. Now a museum and poetry center, they hosting an annual Resident Poet and four writers’ conferences.
